Inspiral Carpets reunite for 2023 UK tour including Manchester Albert Hall date - how to get tickets

Manchester band Inspiral Carpets has announced a nationwide tour for 2023, including a homecoming concert at the Albert Hall in April. The popular rock group will head to 13 different venues across the nation during the tour - eight years on from its last tour in 2015.

The band, which played a big role in the ‘Madchester’ movement throughout the 1980s, has been on hiatus since the sudden death of drummer Craig Gill in 2016. But now it has decided it’s the right time to take to the stage in various towns and cities up and down the country.

“Craig’s death had a profound effect on many people,” Inspiral Carpets said in a statement. “The outpouring of love from around the world at the time gave some comfort to his family and friends as we all tried to come to terms with what had happened.

“We know this will be an emotional journey for a lot of people, not least Craig’s family. We hope you’ll join us as we celebrate some of the music we created, which has brought so much joy to people over the last 34 years.”

When will Inspiral Carpets perform in Manchester?

Inspiral Carpets will take to the stage at Manchester’s Albert Hall at 7pm on Saturday, April 1, 2023. The gig is the third of eight dates around the country.

How to get tickets to Inspiral Carpets in Manchester

There is no presale for Inspiral Carpets’ Manchester performance but general sale tickets will be available from 10am on Friday, October 21. These can be purchased through the Ticketmaster website, with price details to be confirmed at release.
