I got stuck into pottery at new Manchester hobby house and discovered a brilliant community

A range of exciting free creative workshops - including pottery and mushroom growing - have been launched in Manchester City Centre. Altogether Otherwise in Manchester's growing neighbourhood NOMA is a 'hobby house' which is providing a place for people to explore new activities and interact with like-minded people.

The community space is open daily for the public to head inside and try out wood whittling, gardening, cooking and more. Altogether Otherwise will soon be opening a shop full of items related to the ongoing activities and expanding the studio space so more people can get involved.

The ’hobby house’ is also open to any creative ideas for workshops to bring the community together. We headed down to try out the free pottery-throwing class for ourselves.
