Halloween celebrations in Manchester city centre have already begun as some larger-than-life characters have been popping up on some well-known landmarks.

The MCR Monster trail is back and this year it is bigger than ever with some brand new additions and a total of 14 monsters to find around the city centre. It’s all part of Halloween in the City, which you can find out more about on the Visit Manchester website.

There’s plenty of information online to find out where to spot these inflatable and brightly coloured installations, so why not follow the map around Manchester and see if you can grab a picture of them all.

This year’s newest addition to the trail is ‘Bloodoo Child’ at Manchester’s newly renovated gig venue New Century Hall - a nod to Jimi Hendrix’s Voodoo Chile song.

Bloodoo Child and the other monsters will be joined by three more installations across the city on Friday (28 October). These monsters will be up until 31 October, so don’t miss the opportunity to spot them all.
