If your idea of Hallowe’en fun is getting chased around a deserted shopping centre by a horde of zombies with a taste for human flesh, then one Greater Manchester retail hub has got you covered.

The Galleries Shopping Centre in Wigan will once again be transformed into the Terror Mall for the most frightening festival on the calendar.

So if nerve-shredding terror is what you’re seeking out this Hallowe’en, here’s what you need to know.

What is Terror Mall - The Resistance?

Terror Mall - The Resistance is a white-knuckle interactive game which will be played out in the Wigan town centre shopping hub.

It is the sequel to Terror Mall, which was a sell-out when it took place in 2019.

Like the original, Terror Mall - The Resistance sees a plucky band of participants having to battle together to save humanity while zombies, played by actors, run wild.

Anyone taking part in the game will have to steel their nerves to face the zombies as they enter their lair searching for the antidote that will prevent the human race being wiped out.

The game is being hosted by Wigan town centre escape room Adrenaline Escape.

What do the organisers say?

Daniel Brooks, co-owner of Adrenaline Escape, said: “We’re really excited that we’ve been given the green light for Terror Mall in 2021.

“This was such a popular event last time we ran it and tickets sold out in days. It’s a great live experience and perfect for Halloween, full of drama and suspense, anyone who takes part certainly won’t be disappointed!”

Simon Tucker, centre manager at The Galleries, said: “This event is really unique, the team at Adrenaline Escape had the vision to use some empty space creatively and it was hugely popular last time it took place.

“I’ve no doubt it will be a huge hit with anyone loving an adrenaline fuelled activity!”

What do I need to know?

Terror Mall - The Resistance starts on 27 October and there are several time slots each evening.

Tickets cost £20.
