Green Island Festival announces final lineup for 2025 in Manchester
Green Island Festival said: “2025 marks Green Island Festival’s fifth anniversary, born with the mission of creating a space to platform and celebrate the flourishing scene of musicians and DJs in the North, as well as championing sounds of the global majority with artists from as far and wide as Brazil and Senegal taking to their stages.”


Adding: “Beginning as a 150-person capacity event in 2021 with just two stages, the past four years have seen Green Island evolve to become a staple event in Manchester’s grassroots music scene, cherished for its commitment to celebrating multiculturalism, individualism and music in all its diversity of sounds and forms, with unrivalled up-close performances, and a charming and welcoming atmosphere.”

Hide AdNew additions to the lineup include, Afro Cluster who join the Main Stage lineup as well as DJ and Broadcaster Tina Edwards, who will take to the Street Stage in August.
Also in August, beloved Manchester party-starters High Hoops’ takeover of the Bandstand Stage adds Aletha to their lineup. AMAA joins too, fresh from her debut club appearances for SONIO Sounds at Soup and High Hoops at the White Hotel.
September’s Main Stage will host North London rapper Coops, celebrated for his reflective lyricism and 90s hip hop sound. Katbrownsugar will be taking to the decks on the Street Stage with her signature neo-soul centric sonics. To close the day, NTS residents Sofie K b2b Macca with some expect wonky proto-house and synth pop.
The Green Island Festival said: “The first chapter of Green Island Festival is fast approaching, with just under one month to go till the June date. The Main Stage will play host to DnB hero DRS who will be joined by a full 11-piece band for a very special set. Alongside The Zawose Queens who are set to bring a slice of Eastern Africa to Manchester, Cooper T, the balaclava-wearing duo who truly embody the Northern spirit and profess to make music for misfits, and Trees.R.Good bringing jazz-infused electronica music.”

Tier one tickets are priced at £25, tier two at £30, and tier three at £35. Additionally, there will be a low income and a neighbours ticket option, priced at £12.50. Entry is free for children 13 and under.
On each date, from 12pm-2:30pm at the Marquee Stage, there will be kids activities for families to engage in before the festival gets into full swing. This includes: workshops, face painting and family focused DJ sets.
Green Island Festival 2024 will take place across Hulme Community Garden Centre on the 7th of June, 2nd of August and 6th of September.
