Red Arrows in Greater Manchester: When to catch display team flying over region as part of Blackpool Airshow

Last month, the RAF display team were spotted in skies near Rochdale as they made their way to and from the Southport Airshow. This weekend one corner of Greater Manchester may get another glimpse.

Hide AdThe team are based at RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire and will fly across the region as one of two displays on Saturday and then again on Sunday. Horwich in Bolton is on their flight path, which shows that people in Middlebrook may also get the chance to spot them as they fly back to the Fylde Coast and the Blackpool Airshow.
On Saturday, the Red Arrows will be visible over this area of Greater Manchester at shortly before 2pm, when the official display at Blackpool will start. On Sunday, your opportunity to spot them in the sky is at 4.54pm.
