Foo Fighters presale: Manchester fans face virtual queues as tickets go on sale for Emirates Old Trafford gig

Rock icons Foo Fighters have announced a 2024 UK tour- and their first stop will be Manchester. The tour announcement came after the band played an explosive not-so-secret set at Glastonbury Festival. 

The presale window for the UK tour- including the Manchester gig which takes place on June 13 2024- opened at 9am this morning (June 28) and fans flocked to get in the virtual queue. Fans took to social media to share their mixed results of being in the queue. 

For many, it was a successful morning's work, with fans expressing relief and sheer joy following confirmation they had bagged tickets. One fan tweeted: “Managed to get tickets for @foofighters bring on Manchester next year! Get in!”

Another took to Twitter to say it was a more straightforward experience than they had anticipated. They said: “Well that was a hell of a lot easier than expected!! It looks like we’re going to see @foofighters next summer!!”

The excitement of sealing tickets was clear with one fan, who won’t be on his own for the Manchester gig. They said: Hey @foofighters , we cannot wait to see you again, it’s been a while (Glasgow 2019?) since we last saw each other. But this time I’m bringing the family with me this time. I’m ready, are you!!??” 

Of course, for every success story, there are multiple people who unfortunately missed out on pre-sale tickets. For one fan, the disappointment was clear as they tweeted to say: “Manchester Foo Fighters presale all sold out.” followed by crying emojis.

Another fan tweets to say they would be in with general sale on Friday. They said: “Full Foo Fighters experience for presale. And nothing available. Hey ho in with the rest on Friday for another chance.”

If you were unable to get a ticket in the pre-sale, don’t give up hope. General sale begins at 9am on Friday June 30 through Ticketmaster and Gigs and Tours.
