Florence + the Machine have announced their rescheduled dates for their UK tour including one at Manchester’s AO Arena. The English indie group postponed all of their UK tour dates earlier in November after singer Florence Welch broke her foot during a concert in London.

Writing on an Instagram post on November 19, Welch said: “I’m so sorry to say that after an X ray it seems I was dancing on a broken foot last night. It is not in my nature to postpone a show, and certainly not a UK tour, but I’m in pain and as dancers know, dancing on an injury is not a good idea.

“And have been told not to perform to avoid further damage. I’m heartbroken as the Dance Fever tour has been my favourite show we have ever put on.”

But fans will not have to wait too long, as the tour is set to restart in London on Saturday January 28, just over two months after being cancelled. In a new post Welch said: “We practice resurrection.

“Thank you so much for everyone’s kindness and understanding. See you very soon. F x” Any tickets purchased for the original tour will be valid for the new dates.
