Step back in time to the golden era of UK garage, trance, house and clubland anthems with the return of Flashback Festival to Platt Fields this May. On Saturday 20 May, some of the most popular dance music acts of the nineties and noughties will be performing across five stages. This is the second Flashback Festival after a successful debut in Manchester last year.

The first phase of acts has already been announced with New York rapper Fatman Scoop headlining the main stage, alongside two legendary UK garage acts Artful Dodger and Sweet Female Attitude, joined by D:Ream, known for their 1993 hit “Things can only get better.”

Elsewhere, DJ Sammy and Ultrabeat, who topped the charts in the early noughties with their Eurodance anthems “Heaven” and “Pretty Green Eyes” respectively, will be playing the Clubland Big Top Stage, while Dave Pearce and Lange play the Golden Arena stage, spotlighting some of the most well known trance acts of the era.

Finally, Livin’ Joy and N-trance are top of the bill on the Back By Dope Demand stage. There will also be fairground rides, an official after party and a whole festival village to explore.
