Elton John is finally bringing his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour to Manchester and the AO Arena this week. The London born pop artist has had a career spanning more than 50 years and has produced hits such as I’m Still Standing and Don’t Go Breaking My Heart.

The singer’s career has been so successful that a biopic of his life was made in 2019, called Rocketman which starred Taron Egerton as Elton John. The Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour is reported to be John’s final performances before he makes the decision to end his music career.

Elton John will be performing three nights in Manchester at the AO Arena that have been rescheduled from the original dates in 2021. John made the decision to reschedule after a fall which meant he needed an operation and physio to recover.

According to AO Arena, doors will open to the event at 6pm, with the event starting at 7.30pm. It is recommended to come to the arena early to ensure you don’t miss out on the show.

Last-minute tickets are available on Ticketmaster for Elton John at AO Arena in Manchester. At the time of writing, there is limited availability, but tickets are still available for all three nights.

AO Arena parking

If you are planning on getting to AO Arena by car, CitiPark provides an on-site car park with 958 spaces. During the event, the car park is manned by the events team ensuring parking goes smoothly throughout the night.

If you don’t want to drive in the city centre, there are several Park and Ride facilities that will take you to the arena. The following Park and Ride facilities are free to use with a valid Metrolink ticket and will take you to AO Arena:

  • West of Manchester, Ladywell, 250 spaces (Pilgrims Way, Salford, M50 1AW) – 25-minute journey to city centre
  • South of Manchester, Hollinwood, 202 spaces (Hudson Street, Failsworth, OL9 7LG) – 20-minute journey time to city centre
  • East of Manchester, Ashton Moss, 200 spaces (Alexandria Drive, Ashton, OL6 7UB) – 30-minute journey time to city centre
  • South of Manchester, Sale Water Park, 316 spaces (Rifle Road, Sale, M33 2LX) – 25-minute journey time to city centre
