New wave legends Duran Duran are kicking off their much anticipated Future Past UK and America tour this weekend in Manchester with a grand show at AO Arena on Saturday April 29.

The band has had an eventful two years, as they opened the Commonwealth Games in their hometown Birmingham in July along with a performance at the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee event in London. And in November 2022, bandmembers Simon Le Bon, Andy Taylor, John Taylor, Nick Rhodes and Roger Taylor, were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

They also recently announced that they have reunited with terminally ill former bandmate Andy Taylor following his cancer diagnosis to record a new album - although the guitarist won’t be joining them on stage this time around.

Giving an update on Andy’s health, bandmate John Taylor told Good Morning Britain: "He’s doing okay. Simon [Le Bon] was with him for a week, they did a bunch of recording on songs for [their new] album.”

About the new music the band is working on, he said: "It’s fantastic what we’ve done. It’s a different kind of project, there’s a lot of cover songs which is unusual for us and then there’s some old Duran songs that have been rebooted. Andy sounds phenomenal."
