Coldplay are back on tour, with no fewer than four shows right here in Manchester

Iconic rock band Coldplay are bringing their ‘Music of the Spheres’ tour to Manchester. In all, the band will play four shows at the Etihad Stadium. 

Coldplay kicked off the tour in Portugal earlier this month before heading over to Spain. The Manchester dates, which are on May 31 and then June 1, 3 and 4, are the only English shows- they will play one night in Cardiff. 

Ahead of the shows, we’ve gathered together the information you’ll need. Included is the possible setlist from Coldplay and the best ways to get along to the Etihad Stadium.

How to get to the Etihad Stadium


The dedicated metrolink stop for the stadium is Etihad Campus. Manchester Piccadilly station to the Etihad Campus stop and also connects to Ashton. The journey time from Piccadilly is less than 10-minutes. On event days, trams run to/from the stadium stop every 12 minutes.


There are several car parks located within reasonable walking distance to the Etihad Stadium. These include Ancoats Car Park and City Car Park, which is located to the north of the stadium. 


From Manchester city centre, the stadium is around a 30 minute walk. This may be slower on the walk back as you walk with thousands of others who have been at the gig. 

Can I still get tickets to Coldplay in Manchester? 

With the shows taking place soon, tickets look to be pretty much sold out through Ticketmaster. You can check in on the site to see if any tickets are made available through re-sale. 

Ticket transfer website Twickets is also a good place to keep an eye out for tickets. At the moment, the only tickets on the site are premium or VIP, and will cost hundreds of pounds each.
