A theatre performance is coming to a very unique Manchester city centre venue at the end of this month. On July 27, three theatrical fashion show performances will be taking place at Castlefield Viaduct, Manchester's 'park in the sky'.

The unique venue's long walkway will be used as a fashion runway to present 'Hand Me Down', a show reminding audiences that our style choices can shape a better future for our planet and communities. The theatre company behind Hand Me Down - Contact Young Company - is hoping to encourage a shift away from the throwaway culture that dominates the fashion industry.

Audiences are invited to dress in their oldest and most loved clothing, showcasing the power of personal style and our emotional connection to our wardrobes.

Much like the viaduct has been repurposed into a beautiful National Trust park, it is hoped people will be inspired to repurpose their old clothes and stop contributing to fast fashion.
