Castlefield Bowl: Metrolink and parking near Manchester venue as Tom Grennan announced for Sounds of the City

Manchester is famed for its great music venues, and the Castlefield Bowl is a fantastic part of this portfolio. The outdoor venue is used for all sorts of events, but the Sounds of The City series is always something to look forward to. 

For several days through July and August, some of the biggest names in music perform at the venue. Located on the outskirts of Deansgate, there will no doubt be another great selection of musicians performing at the bowl next year. 

Singer Tom Grennan has been announced for Sounds of the City 2024. This will be Grennan’s first ever appearance at the event and the Bowl, and he’s even bringing Stockport’s finest Blossoms to Manchester with him as support. 

Metrolink tram stops near Castlefield Bowl

The central location of the Castlefield Bowl makes it easy to reach via public transport. Manchester’s Metrolink tram network provides an easy way to get to the venue, and will no doubt be popular with gig goers next year. 

The closest stop on the Metrolink is Deansgate-Castlefield. It is served by six of the network’s tram lines and is connected to Manchester city centre, making it the most logical stop to use if you are heading to the Castlefield Bowl. 

For an even more central tram stop, you can get off at St Peter’s Square and from there Castlefield Bowl is around a 15 minute walk. This might work better if you are getting a bite to eat of a drink in the city centre. 

Parking for Castlefield Bowl 

There are several car parks located within a few minutes walk of the Castlefield Bowl. Water Street, Stone Street and Collier Street all have parking options, but you’d probably be best getting there early to avoid disappoint on the day of an event.

General sale tickets for Tom Grennan at Castlefield Bowl go on sale at 9.30am on Friday October 6. These tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster.
