Manchester is no stranger to exciting music events, and this month sees a brand new festival take place in the city. Beyond the Music gets underway on Wednesday (October 11) and sees live music taking place at venues across Manchester until Saturday October 14.
Beyond the Music aims to do more than just be a music festival. Its mission statement includes seeking to “not only solve the issues being faced today but to produce innovative models for the future.”

Hide AdWhilst live music is a major aspect of the festival, another major attraction is set to be the daily conference. With speakers addressing the audiences at Aviva Studios, Manchester Central, Halle St Peter’s, Versa Studios and the Midland Hotel about various topics, the main theme will be promoting ways of improving the music industry.
Beyond the Music venues
Whether it's for the conference or live music, many venues will host Beyond the Music across Manchester. Iconic highlights include the Night & Day Cafe and Gullivers, with 17 Manchester spots hosting the festival. For the full venue list and how to get to each, visit the Beyond the Music website.
Beyond the Music line-up
There’s no music on the opening day, but the opening of the Conference will take place at The Midland Hotel. Music will get underway in the mid-afternoon or evening on each of the last three days of the festival.
The full music timetable is available through the festival’s website. Taking place on October 14 at a ‘secret’ location is a rave, and more information on this will be announced during the festival.
