BBC Celebrity Masterchef 2022: Who is McFly singer Danny Jones, where is he from - and how to watch

Celebrity Masterchef 2022 is back and the Greater Manchester area is set to be well represented.

This year’s BBC series will see the likes of former boxer Chris Eubank and ex football player Jimmy Bullard try their hand at the various baking challenges which unfold in the Masterchef kitchen.

Among the lineup this year is McFly singer Danny Jones, who was born in Greater Manchester.

Who is Danny Jones?

Danny is most well known for being lead vocals and lead guitar in pop rock band McFly.

He worked closely with Tom Fletcher in writing songs and was an original member of the band - including through their rise to fame in 2004 and throughout the rest of the decade.

With his fellow band members, Danny has co-written all five of the band’s albums.

Danny Jones was born on 12 March 1986 in Bolton, Greater Manchester.

Following the end of filming for Celebrity Masterchef 2022, Danny took to social media to tell followers of his time on the show - particularly with one other fellow contestant.
