The band are about to release their first album in nine years

The Libertines are back with new music this year for the first time in nearly a decade. To promote their new tunes, they are hitting the road at the back end of 2024. 

The last gig of the lot is pencilled in for Manchester’s Albert Hall. This will be on Thursday November 7, with other destination cities including Cardiff, Newcastle and Dublin also on the schedule.

‘All Quiet On The Esplanade’ is The Libertines’ fourth studio album and is set for release on March 29. This will bring to an end a nine year wait for a new album, with several of the singles from the record already released. 

The band consists of  co-frontmen and guitarists Carl Barât and Peter Doherty as well as John Hassall on bass guitar and drummer Gary Powell. They burst onto the scene with their debut album ‘Up The Bracket’ back in 2002- five years after forming in London.

The tour announcement will take the band on a UK tour for the first time since 2022. This was a tour for the 20th anniversary of their first album. 

How to get tickets to The Libertines at Manchester’s Albert Hall

You can head to the official Libertines store and pre-order the new album All Quiet On The Eastern Esplanade to get exclusive ticket pre-sale access at 9am on Wednesday February 21. General sale begins through Gigs and Tours at 9am on Friday February 23.
