Few expected the US star to be the first official act at Manchester’s new arena.

Co-op Live has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons in recent days, with Manchester’s newest venue facing a stack of issues around what was supposed to be its opening week. The rearrangement of both the Peter Kay and The Black Keys shows means that a totally different act will be the first to take to the stage.

American rapper, singer and songwriter ‘A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie’ will have the accolade of the first Co-op Live gig. With the way the last week has gone, the venue could probably do with this one going ahead without any major hiccups.
