Manchester City are reportedly closing in on the signing of Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips.

The clubs are believed to have agreed a fee of around £42m for the England international, with wages not likely to be a sticking point.

Phillips comes in as a like-for-like replacement for Fernandinho, with the outgoing City skipper ending his nine-year stint at the Etihad at the end of the 2021/22 campaign.
