Where Man Utd and Man City sit in final predicted Premier League table - title race and top-4 finish

Manchester City regained their place at the top of the Premier League with a 3-0 win over Brighton last night and remain favourites to win the title while United’s chances of finishing in the top four were dealt a blow by their defeat to Liverpool.

Liverpool were top of the Premier League for less than 24 hours with reigning champions Manchester City reclaiming top spot with a 3-0 win over mid-table Brighton.

Although Chelsea are still mathematically in contention, it’s a two horse race between the Reds and the Sky Blues with just one point separating them after each having played 32 fixtures.

It looks like it will go down to the wire and Pep Guardiola’s side remain favourites to retain their title.

Meanwhile, Manchester United’s chances of finishing in the top four were dealt a blow as Arsenal beat Chelsea.

The Red Devils are now three points behind both the Gunners and Tottenham Hotspur and have played one game more than both North London sides.

United will need to make up that gap while also holding off West Ham and Wolves who are both still in contention.

The upside of Arsenal’s win at Stamford Bridge is that Chelsea have been drawn back into the battle but still have a five point gap on the Gunners and Spurs and an eight point lead over United.

Here is how the Premier League table currently looks based on each teams odds of either winning the title, finishing in the top four, finishing in the top half or being relegated:

It looks like it will go down to the wire and Pep Guardiola’s side remain favourites to retain their title.
