On top of this, we’ll also take a look at how the other clubs in both the Premier League and the Scottish Premiership are expected to fare after six games have been played.

Where are Manchester City and Manchester United expected to finish?

GIVEMESPORT predicts nothing but smooth sailing for Manchester City in Group A. Not only are they expected to finish top, they also have a 100% chance of qualification. The Sky Blues are in a group with RB Leipzig, Young Boys and Red Star Belgrade - they have beaten all three of them so far, putting them at the top of their group with nine points.

Manchester United, on the other hand, are not expected to be quite as successful. GIVEMESPORT expects them to finish third in their group, behind Bayern Munich and Galatasaray, which will see them fail to make the last 16 of the tournament.

United have a 46.0% chance of progressing, while Bayern Munich have 99.88% and Galatasaray have 47.41%. The team below United in the predicted table, FC Copenhagen, have just 6.63%.

How are the other English clubs expected to fare?

Manchester City are not the only club who are predicted to finish top of their group - Arsenal, who recently defeated the Citizens in the Premier League, are expected to finish first in Group B.

Newcastle United are also predicted to progress, as GIVEMESPORT has them down to finish second in their group. Celtic, however, are not quite so fortunate - they’re expected to finish bottom in their group.
