Manchester United continue to be linked with a whole host of players as club chiefs look to strengthen the squad irrespective of whether Erik ten Hag remains at the club or not. The Red Devils are dragging their feet over the future of their Dutch boss, but whether a new boss is brought in or not, there is no doubting that new signings are needed if United want to catch up with the likes of Manchester City.
Big money was spent last season, and United are going to have to be just as bold to add depth and quality after a season full of injuries, which quickly highlighted the lack of quality in depth. With rumours continuing to surround the club, we have put together a possible starting XI for next season based on some of the transfer chatter. Take a look below.

2. LB - Luke Shaw
Shaw could be a starter if he returns to fitness. Malacia could compete, and United could look to strengthen here, but they are likely to prioritise other positions. | Manchester United via Getty Imag

4. CB - Leny Yoro
Yoro has been linked with a big-money move to Old Trafford, with other clubs also being linked at this stage. Yoro is still just 18 years of age, but he looks to be on track to be one of the best centre-backs in Europe. | AFP via Getty Images
