Manchester United were one of the biggest summer spenders, securing a number of big-money deals. The Red Devils signed Andre Onana, Mason Mount, Rasmus Hojlund and others, but it hasn't translated to immediate success.
United have managed to close the gap of late, picking up a big win over Chelsea on Wednesday, but pressure aplenty remains. Erik ten Hag has warned that it is likely to quiet winter transfer window for United, but the club will keep an eye out for where they can improve, and departures could spark them into life. 1. GK - Andre Onana
Onana needs to improve his form quickly, but he should remain as number one unless Bayindir is particularly good during his AFCON absence.
2. LB - Luke Shaw
Shaw is back from injury, and he will be a starter going forward.
3. CB - Harry Maguire
Maguire's redemption tour continues. He has been excellent of late and will remain a starter while he maintains that form.
4. CB - Jean-Clair Todibo
Nice star Todibo has been linked with a move to Old Trafford, and he seems the most likely signing at this point.
