Yoro, Mainoo, Shaw - Manchester United injury news and returns dates ahead of Ipswich fixture

Ruben Amorim takes charge for the first time when Man Utd face Ipswich Town in the Premier League fixture on Sunday afternoon.

Ruben Amorim could be boosted by the return of three injured stars when he takes charge of Manchester United for the first time later today. The 39-year-old head coach will be on the touchline when United face Ipswich Town in the Premier League, with kick-off at 4:30pm from Portman Road.

Kobbie Mainoo, Leny Yoro and Tyrell Malacia have all been involved in training this week and could be included in the matchday squad, though there are still a number of long-term absentees who won't be involved. Harry Maguire is yet to return to training, while Lisandro Martinez and Victor Lindelof both suffered scares during the recent international break.

Here is a round-up of all the latest injury news and potential return dates ahead of Amorim's first match in charge:

-----------

Kobbie Mainoo - 24 October vs Ipswich Town (A)

Mainoo has been out since before the October international break but has since returned to training and is expected to be in the squad against Ipswich today. He is the most likely of the returning players to start the match.

Leny Yoro - 24 October vs Ipswich Town (A)

Yoro has not made a competitive appearance for United since he signed from Lille in the summer. He is back in training and could be eased back into action with a place on the bench this weekend.

Tyrell Malacia - 24 October vs Ipswich Town (A)

Malacia made his long-awaited return from injury against Huddersfield last week and has been involved in training this week too. He could be back in the first-team squad this weekend but is more likely to earn a start against Bodo/Glimt next week.

Lisandro Martinez - 1 December vs Everton (H)

Martinez returned early from international duty due to a back issue and has not been pictured in any training imagery yet. He was due to undergo tests this week and has to be classified as a doubt for the weekend.

Victor Lindelof - 1 December vs Everton (H)

Lindelof returned from international duty after picking up a knock last weekend. He was also due to be assessed this week and is another doubt for the trip to face Ipswich.

Harry Maguire - 4 December vs Arsenal (A)

Maguire went off injured against Aston Villa prior to the October international break. Despite only being ruled out for 'a few weeks' he has yet to return yet and it is unclear when he will be fit enough to feature.

Luke Shaw - 7 December vs Nottingham Forest (H)

Shaw has not featured for United since he went off injured against Luton all the way back in February. He suffered a setback in his recovery earlier in the month, and although he is taking part in light training at the moment, he is still a while away from a return.
