Manchester City are eagerly awaiting to discover their FA Cup quarter-final opponents after thrashing Bristol City yesterday. Pep Guardiola’s side will be desperate to pick up some silverware this season after failing to make the Carabao Cup final, while it remains unclear whether they will be able to retain their Premier League title.

Meanwhile, Man United will be confident of progressing to the quarters with a win over West Ham this evening. The Red Devils earned their first trophy under Erik ten Hag with victory in the Carabao Cup at the weekend.

When will the FA Cup quarter-finals take place?

The FA Cup quarter-finals will be played over the weekend of March 18-19. This means Man City’s Premier League clash with West Ham will be rescheduled, while United’s meeting with Brighton will be postponed if they beat the Irons tonight.

Pep Guardiola’s side will compete in the quarter-final between two huge matches as they take on RB Leipzig in the second leg of the Champions League Round of 16 before they host Liverpool in the league. City’s first leg against the Germans ended 1-1 and they will need to win on home soil to progress in Europe.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils’ potential FA Cup fixture would kick off days after their Europa League second leg meeting with Real Betis before they take on Newcastle United once again. Both Manchester clubs could end up featuring weaker sides given the importance of their campaigns in Europe, while they could both still be challenging for the Premier League title.
