ManchesterWorld has profiled the Premier League attendance figures ahead of another jam-packed weekend of top-flight action

It may come as no surprise to learn that Manchester United boast the biggest stadium in the Premier League. At just under 75,000, only Wembley holds a larger capacity on British soil. But does that translate to attendance?

United, admittedly, have endured a decline since Sir Alex Ferguson retired almost 11 years ago. The Red Devils are yet to win the Premier League in the post-Ferguson era while their local rivals, Manchester City, dominate. As for City, they have come a long way since averaging 28,000 at Maine Road in the third tier.

Pep Guardiola’s swashbuckling side are relentless and are aiming for back-to-back trebles - an unprecedented feat in English football. The revamped City of Manchester Stadium - now a fully-fledged football ground branded as the Etihad - holds 53,400 spectators.

Club chiefs made a conscious effort to bolster the capacity since Sheikh Mansour transformed City’s fortunes forever in 2008. But how do they stack up compared to their top-flight rivals for the 2023-24 campaign? ManchesterWorld has profiled the Premier League attendance figures ahead of another jam-packed weekend of action.
