Manchester United and Manchester City supporters may be feeling a little left out of Carabao Cup action this week, although the break in fixtures will provide some respite ahead of midweek European action.

The two Manchester clubs will enter the competition in the next round having earned a jumpstart past the second round thanks to their league performances last season.

Pep Guardiola and Erik ten Hag will see a new fixture added to their calendar this evening when the third round draw takes place. ManchesterWorld has all you need to know about when and where the draw is taking place, as well as all the clubs that the Red Devils and Cityzens could do battle with.

When is the Carabao Cup third round draw?

The draw for the third round of the Carabao Cup will take place after the conclusion of tonight's fixtures.

It will be broadcast live on Sky Sports following the conclusion of the televised fixture between Everton and Doncaster Rovers at the Eco-Power Stadium.

The draw will be conducted by ex Doncaster and Sheffield Wednesday manager Darren Moore alongside former Lioness Izzy Christiansen.

The Carabao Cup third round draw will take place at around 10:15 pm BST on Wednesday, August 30.

Who can Manchester United and Manchester City get in the Carabao Cup draw?

The regionalised part of the Carabao Cup finishes in the second round so, from this point onwards, any remaining team can face any other side left in the competition.

Neither side has had to take part in the second round so whatever third round fixture they get will be their Carabao Cup debut this season.

Which teams are left in the Carabao Cup?

There won't be a Manchester United meeting with Leeds United in the Carabao Cup this season after the Championship side were dumped out of the competition by lowly Salford City on Tuesday evening.

The Red Devils faced an easier draw than their Manchester rivals with fixtures against Aston Villa, Burnley, Charlton Athletic and Nottingham Forest preceding the final.
