The Manchester United forward scored an incredible goal in the 3-0 win at Goodison Park.

Alejandro Garnacho scored a spectacular overhead kick on Sunday as Manchester United beat Everton 3-0 at Goodison Park.

It was a goal that manager Erik ten Hag said could be the pick of the bunch this season, not just for the incredible, acrobatic finish, but for the intricate team play before, that saw four players combine before Garnacho finished it off.

"we scored a great goal, not only the finish, the finish was incredible, fantastic, but also the way we attract them, how we speed up, the switch of play from Victor [Lindelof] to [Marcus] Rashford. The overlap, the cross, so very good," the Dutchman said after the game.

"It was a fantastic goal. In the season, there are still many games to play but maybe already the goal of the season. Not only the finish, it was the back to the end but the finish was incredible."

The goal, after just three minutes, silenced what had been an intimidating atmosphere as Everton fans vented their frustration at the 10-point deduction last week. Flyers display a message saying 'corrupt' were held up by the vast majority in the home sections, the Premier League's anthem was booed, while fireworks were also set off outside the ground.

But Garnacho's stupendous strike change the mood inside Goodison, while Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial also scored in the second half to ensure the Red Devils came away with three points.

Even opposition boss Sean Dyche had to admit Garnacho's goal was a 'worldie', while the player himself revealed he didn't actually see the ball hit the back of the net.

"I couldn’t believe it to be honest," he told Sky Sports. "I didn’t see that I scored, just I listened to the ground and I say ‘oh my god’. For me, [it’s] one of the best goals I scored and I’m very happy."

Meanwhile, Roy Keane was effusive in his praise: "Absolutely amazing, brilliant. We had a great view of it behind it. As soon as he went up in the air and we saw it.

"It’s very hard to talk about as I’ve never done that in my life. The contact he makes on it, the skill levels. I’m usually critical of goalkeepers but I’ll let him off with this one. A brilliant goal and a brilliant start from United."
