Bruno Fernandes is determined to get back to winning ways with Manchester United when they travel to Manchester City on Sunday.

The Red Devils’ No.18 was disappointed the club dropped points against Watford on Saturday after their 0-0 draw.

United sit fourth in the Premier League after 27 games, three points behind Chelsea, but having played two more league fixtures.

Fernandes is now looking ahead to the Red Devils’ clash with rivals City on Sunday, hoping he and his teammates can secure the three points at the Etihad Stadium.

‘’As I have said many times, we have dropped points on third place again,’’ he said in his post-match interview on Saturday.

"I think that’s the main thing for us, as we could be much closer to them [Chelsea].

"However, now is not the time to start thinking about how many points we should have now or how many points we should have in the end.

"We have to look to the next game, to win the game and to get three points again."

Sunday’s derby will be the 187th meeting between the two Manchester sides, with United running out 2-0 winners the last time they faced off at the Etihad.

The Portuguese international emphasised the importance of the fixture and what his team need to do against the Sky Blues.

“It’s one of those games where we know what it means for the city, for the fans, for the club and for ourselves.

"It’s a game we want to win at all costs."
