Man Utd player ratings from the 3-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.

Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot both scored just 1/10 for their unacceptable performances in Manchester United’s 3-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur yesterday.

Erik ten Hag made three changes for the Old Trafford clash with Alejandro Garnacho, Manuel Ugarte and Matthijs de Ligt selected ahead of Amad Diallo, Christian Eriksen and the injured Harry Maguire.

It was a horrendous start for United as Tottenham took an early lead through Brennan Johnson after Micky Van de Ven had been given the freedom of Old Trafford to race through on goal from his own half.

Tottenham were by far the better side in the opening exchanges of the match, with United limited to the occasional threat on the counter-attack without ever really troubling Guglielmo Vicario.

Things then went for bad to worse for Ten Hag, when captain Bruno Fernandes was shown a straight red card for his challenge on James Maddison, while Kobbie Mainoo limped off with an injury shortly afterwards.

United were extremely fortunate to go in at the break only a single goal behind after an insulting first-half performance in which they were torn apart on numerous occasions by a wasteful Spurs strike force.

Casemiro came on at half-time in place of Joshua Zirkzee, but he could only watch on as Tottenham quickly doubled their lead after the restart through Dejan Kulusevski.

United deserved some credit for the manner in which they rallied after going two goals down, but they never really looked like scoring against a Tottenham side who were comfortable in their lead and could easily have scored many more.

Tottenham asserted their dominance before the full-time whistle though and added a deserved third goal when Dominic Solanke prodded in from a corner to make the scoreline look a lot more reflective of their overall dominance.

Here is how we rated the United players in what was a pathetic performance:
