Christian Eriksen had been linked with a move to Galatasaray but it is understood he will be remaining at Manchester United for the rest of the season.

The Danish international has fallen out of favour this season with Ten Hag keen to add more energy in midfield. He signed Mason Mount from Chelsea last summer while Scott McTominay and academy graduate Kobbie Mainoo have also been preferred. However, he now looks set to stay and fight for his place despite the reported interest.

Sky Sports News report: "The Denmark midfielder is understood to be happy at United and focused on the rest of the campaign. The Turkish transfer window is still open and Galatasaray want a new midfielder.

"Eriksen has been high on their list due to his reduced playing time at United this season."

The Turkish transfer window doesn't close until February 9 and so clubs from that country are free to sign players, even from places where the window is closed.
