Manchester United have the opportunity to move into third in the Premier League table this evening when they face Tottenham Hotspur on the road.

The Reds are currently fourth on 59 points but will leapfrog Newcastle United if they can bank a win against an out of form Spurs.

Erik ten Hag’s men will enter the clash off the back of their FA Cup semi-final win last weekend, and they are also enjoying a three-match winning streak in the league. Spurs on the other hand, were dealt a humiliating 6-1 defeat last time out after Newcastle made their visit to St James’ Park one to forget.

Prior to that, the Lilywhites lost 3-2 to Bournemouth, and with a Champions League spot still their main mission, they cannot afford to drop any more points.

Ahead of this top four rival clash, we’ve taken a look at the latest fitness updates coming from both clubs.

Latest Spurs injury news

Ryan Mason has confirmed that Hugo Lloris is a doubt after he was forced off the pitch injured against Newcastle at the weekend.

Spurs are “unsure” whether Lloris will be fit enough to play against United this evening.

Ben Davies and Clement Lenglet are also currently under assessment regarding their fitness levels. Rodrigo Bentancur (knee), Emerson Royal (knee), Yves Bissouma (ankle) and Ryan Sessegnon (thigh) also remain unavailable for selection.

Manchester United injury news

Man United also have a new fitness doubt ahead of their visit to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium later today. Ten Hag admitted there is a “question mark” surrounding Bruno Fernandes and the club would need to monitor his progression before making a decision on whether he will be included in the match day squad.

Ten Hag confirmed the Reds will not have the services of Lisandro Martinez or Raphael Varane — these are just two of the total eight players on United’s absentee list.

The full list of Man United’s injuries, as per Premier Injuries, is as follows:
