Hide AdUnited have been looking to overhaul their coaching staff this summer so that manager Ten Hag is supported by a more experienced backroom set-up, with club great Van Nistelrooy and former Go Ahead Eagles boss Hake joining as assistants. Ten Rouwelaar has left Ajax to become their new goalkeeping coach following a two-year spell with Burnley.
It is understood Van Nistelrooy and Hake won't take part in the first training session on Monday as they are both still awaiting their visas, but all other formalities have been finalised ahead of their official unveiling later this week. United are looking to make a formal announcement as soon as possible, but won't do so until the visa issue is officially resolved.
It is set to be a busy week at United with Omar Berrada set to officially take over as chief executive this Saturday. Jason Wilcox has already been appointed as the club’s new technical director while Dan Ashworth has officially joined as a sporting director. Christopher Vivell has started work as the club's director of global talent.
