Thomas Tuchel in 'pole position' to land new job following Manchester United interest
Thomas Tuchel is reportedly in 'pole position' to be named the new England national team manager.
Sky Sports say the 51-year-old is currently in talks with FA about taking the position permanently following Lee Carsley's short period as interim boss.

Hide AdTuchel was recently considered the favourite to potentially succeed Erik ten Hag should he be sacked by Manchester United and the former Chelsea and Bayern Munich coach even held talks with Sir Jim Ratcliffe during the summer.
Man City head coach Pep Guardiola was also linked with the England vacancy, but the report adds that while an initial enquiry was made to sound him out over the role, there has been no further developments and he is not currently thought to be an active candidate for the position.
It is understood FA technical director, John McDermott, wants to appoint a coach with a proven track record of winning trophies, with Tuchel having won league titles with both Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich, as well as the Champions League, Super Cup and Club World Cup with Chelsea.
If appointed, it would potentially leave United without the favoured candidate to possibly replace under fire manager Ten Hag, who currently retains the backing of the United board. It was reported last week United were lining up Tuchel should they decided to sack the Dutchman following their worst ever start to a Premier League campaign.
