'They were rubbish' - Roy Keane slams 'shocking' Manchester United star in Arsenal loss
Man Utd lost 2-0 to Arsenal in the Premier League on Wednesday night and Roy Keane wasn't impressed.
Roy Keane says Manchester United didn't deserve anything against Arsenal and slammed a 'rubbish' team performance at the Emirates.

Ruben Amorim tasted his first defeat as United head coach thanks to set-piece goals from Jurrien Timber and William Saliba, which decided a match that was dominated by the home side. United had shown some signs of promise with how they defended from open play in the first-half, though they were bullied from set-pieces throughout the encounter and offered very little attacking threat themselves.
Amorim made six changes for the match with Amad Diallo and Marcus Rashford among those dropping out of the line up, but they were unable to make up for lost time when they were introduced from the bench. Amad actually looked rather bright once he was introduced, but Keane slammed Rashford for his disappointing cameo appearance in the second-half. “I’ll tell you something, Marcus Rashford came on there. His general play as a footballer is shocking," Keane said on The Overlap.
“Watch his header there. Have United’s subs given anything since coming on? Nothing. The subs have done nothing. Manchester United deserve nothing anyway. They were rubbish. You know what happens with United? They fool you, they fool you. They’re not dynamic.”
United fans might point to the performances of Amad, Tyrell Malacia and Leny Yoro as positives to take from the defeat, though Keane believes there was not a single sign of encouragement from the manner of their loss. He added: “Not tonight, no. I’m really disappointed with Manchester United. I thought the players were going through the motions a little bit. It was easy for Arsenal. The first half was fine but I was expecting a bit more. The manager’s probably thinking he thought United were a bit better than this. I was getting really frustrated at the end there.”
