The 11 transfers Manchester United completed in January window

It might not have always felt like it, but it ended up being a busy month for Manchester United in the January transfer window.
The window was dominated by the Marcus Rashford transfer saga that has resulted in the academy graduate finally joining Premier League rivals Aston Villa on loan. United didn't receive a loan fee for Rashford but could profit if Villa trigger their option to buy him permanently for £40 million in the summer.

Ruben Amorim added two new players to his first team squad, though he did not get the elusive forward he wanted. Here is a look at all ten transfers United completed during the winter window.
Manchester United complete two signings
Amorim prioritised a wing-back and a forward in the January transfer window, though he only addressed one of those problem positions. United signed Patrick Dorgu from Lecce for an initial fee of £24 million, with a further £5m in potential performance-related bonuses. There was somewhat of a shock addition as well, when United paid Arsenal £1.5m in compensation to sign teenage defender Ayden Heaven, and unveiled him as a first team signing rather than a youth team one.
United also recalled two players from loan in January, with Elyh Harrison returning to the club after his successful spell with Chester, while striker Joe Hugill was recalled from his loan with Wigan Athletic

It was a busy month in terms of loan exits, as nine players left the club in total. Rashford was the most notable departure as his transfer saga finally came to an end, while Antony joined La Liga side Real Betis on a deal until the end of the season and Tyrell Malacia moved to PSV Eindhoven.
