Erik ten Hag has confirmed three Manchester United players will miss Wednesday’s Premier League game against Leeds United through injury.

Two absentees were expected in Scott McTominay and Anthony Martial, both of whom missed Saturday’s 2-1 win over Crystal Palace with knocks. McTominay is out for a few weeks, while Martial played in last Wednesday’s win over Nottingham Forest but suffered a relapse on his recovery and was ruled out at the weekend.

But Ten Hag also revealed Antony will miss the clash against Leeds with an injury. “They [McTominay and Martial] are not involved tomorrow, and the same with Antony, so we have to sort it out,” the Dutchman said ahead of the game. However, the winger is not expected to be out with a long-term problem.

Casemiro is another player who won’t feature at Old Trafford due to the red he received in the win over Palace, and he’ll miss the next three league matches as a result. Ten Hag was furious with the decision to punish Casemiro alone at the weekend and felt others who were involved in the on-field melee could also have been dismissed - yet, he revealed United opted against appealing the red card.

“Considered, yeah, and for me it was not the right decision. But I don’t think we have a chance in the legal process,” he said.

“I always have to play with the players who are available and we have a squad, we have many good players in our squad who are also not playing in the starting XI and I have to do it,” he added.

“After a game I can't say Casemiro is not there, Anthony Martial is not there, we have to win. This squad all players in are Man United capable, we have to win all the games.”
