Manchester United and Manchester City had mixed starts to the Premier League season as the rivals prepare for more action this weekend.
City won 4-0 at Wolves to put the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal on notice for the title battle. Up next for Pep Guardiola’s side is a clash against Tottenham Hotspur at the Etihad Stadium.
Meanwhile, the Red Devils lost 1-0 to the Gunners at Old Trafford. Despite the loss, they showed positive signs of encouragement after a miserable 2024-25 campaign that saw them finish 15th in the table.
They make the trip to Fulham next to see if they can get their first points on the board.
There’s still 37 matches to play and plenty of twists and turns are promised along the way, including those in the transfer market. Data experts at Opta have already boldly predicted how the final league table will shape up as well as the point’s tallies for all 20 teams.
With that in mind, we take a look at the new forecast to assess who is going down, who will be crowned the champions and who will win the battle for the European spots.
