‘Soon’ - Erik ten Hag provides Manchester United injury update on £59m star
Manchester United have been without one of their summer signings since the season began.
Erik ten Hag has provided a positive update on Leny Yoro and said the defender's rehab is ‘going in the right direction’.

Yoro joined Manchester United this summer from Lille in a deal that could rise up to £58.9 million (€70m), with an initial £52 million (€62m) paid for the teenage centre-back. But Yoro is yet to play for United since his arrival after he suffered a metatarsal break in a pre-season friendly against Arsenal in California.
It means United have started the season with Matthijs de Ligt, Lisandro Martinez and Harry Maguire mainly operating at the heart of defence. With Victor Lindelof and Jonny Evans also options for Ten Hag, there will be no need to rush Yoro back from his injury.
However, the Frenchman could return ‘soon’, according to his manager. “He [Yoro] is doing very well,” Ten Hag told MUTV ahead of the trip to Tottenham Hotspur.
"It is very pleasing that his rehab is going in the right direction and I expect him soon, but what I mean by soon, is that he is now in the right planning process.
"He is in the right spot and he will return as soon as possible into the squad and then the team training."
Ten Hag described the youngster as ‘a huge talent’ this summer, with the club believing they have secured the signing of one of the brightest centre-backs in the world.
Yoro is one of a handful of injuries for United ahead of this weekend’s game, along with the long-term absences of Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia. Lindleof is also unavailable but is close to a return from a toe injury.
