The Dutch great takes charge of United for the first time when they face Leicester City in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night as the club works on a deal to appoint Ruben Amorim as their new head coach.

It remains to be seen just how many matches Van Nistelrooy will have in charge of the United side, but it looks like he is looking to put his stamp on the side and could even hand a player a debut in the process.

Teenage trio Fitzgerald, Fletcher and Amass were all pictured among those who arrived at Old Trafford in the hours ahead of kick-off in midweek.
