'Just that' - Ruben Amorim quizzed on Manchester United interest in Matheus Cunha
Ruben Amorim refused to be drawn on Manchester United's interest in Matheus Cunha ahead of their meeting with Wolves in the Premier League this weekend. The 25-year-old has 16 goals and four assists for Wolves this season and is a key reason why they will remain in the English top-flight.
Manchester World understands Cunha has been identified as an attainable target for United this summer, and the club believes they could sign him alongside a striker. Amorim has prioritised the addition of a striker but would also like to add another attacking midfielder to his squad if possible.

Hide AdCunha insisted on a £62.5 million release clause when he signed a new Wolves contract in January, and in that sense would be a rather straightforward deal to complete. Wolves would want the bulk of the fee paid upfront, though there is a belief United would b able to do so if they manage to shift some players this summer.
Ruben Amorim on Wolves star Cunha
Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Ruben Amorim was quizzed on the weekend clash with Wolves and name-dropped Matheus Cunha as one of the 'quality' players they have at their disposal.
"I think he's (Vitor Pereira) doing an amazing job. He's playing a 343, he's doing quite well. He's changing some players, he has real quality players - Cunha and all these guys, they have real quality. They are fresh. So we know it's going to be a tough match and we are going to need a lot from our supporters. I know it is a bad thing to ask anything this season from our fans, but we need them on Sunday."
It might only have been an innocent remark from Amorim to mention transfer target Cunha, but it didn't go unnoticed during the press conference. In a follow-up question, the United head coach was quizzed on the attacker and whether he could be a future United player. However, Amorim played it down and insisted it was little more than a throwaway comment. "I just gave the example because I remembered about Matheus - he's scoring a lot of goals. Just that," he said.
