PSV Eindhoven have made an approach to take Facundo Pellistri on loan from Manchester United the rest of the season.

Pellistri's future has been the subject of recent speculation amid reports linking him with a temporary move away from United. The Uruguayan has just 371 minutes of competitive football under his belt this season and has not started since September.

Ten Hag brought Amad Diallo off the bench over Pellistri during the 2-1 defeat at Nottingham Forest and elimination from the Champions League and Carabao Cup has eased United's schedule between now and May.

That could encourage Ten Hag to offload some of his fringe players and Fabrizio Romano has reported that PSV have offered to take Pellistri on loan. Negotiations are said to be ongoing between the Dutch club and United.

Romano adds that LA Galaxy are also keen on a move for the 22-year-old. The MLS side are said to want a permanent deal and will submit an offer in the coming days.

It is unclear exactly what United's stance is on Pellistri's future, but Amad's return may have seen him drop down the pecking order on the right. Ten Hag has also started Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford on that side in recent weeks.

Reports earlier in the window suggested that Ten Hag would be willing to let Pellistri leave as he aims to trim his squad. That development came amid links with Sevilla and OGC Nice, who are owned by United's newest investor, Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

United chiefs have already insisted that they are expecting a quiet January in terms of transfers, with plans already being put in place for investment in the summer. Any major business will likely be related to outgoings, namely Jadon Sancho who was banished from the first-team after accusing Ten Hag of lying about poor performances in training.

Ten Hag's side currently only have two games in January, although victory over Wigan Athletic and progression into the FA Cup fourth round will see them handed a fourth-round tie at the end of the month.
