£52m star could make Manchester United debut this weekend after Ruben Amorim decision
Man Utd travel to face Ipswich Town in the Premier League fixture on Sunday afternoon.
Leny Yoro could be in contention to make his Manchester United debut when they travel to face Ipswich Town in the Premier League this weekend.
Ruben Amorim takes charge of his first match as United manager at Portman Road on Sunday afternoon and could be boosted by the return of three star players for the encounter.
Kobbie Mainoo and Tyrell Malacia could both be involved in the matchday squad after they returned from injury over the international break, while there is a growing belief summer signing Yoro will also travel as he awaits his competitive debut for the club.
Yoro has been sidelined for three months after he fractured his metatarsal during a pre-season clash with Arsenal, meaning he never actually featured for Erik ten Hag, who was in charge when they signed him for £52 million from Lille in the summer.
United are taking caution as they look to ease the 19-year-old back into action but he has been spotted playing as part of a back-three alongside Luke Shaw and Jonny Evans in training this week and could be named on the bench at Portman Road. Yoro was set to feature for United U21s when they defeated Altrincham on Tuesday night, but was withdrawn from the squad by Amorim, with one theory that he was being kept fresh for the weekend.
Given he has not played any competitive football since last season, it would be a shock to see the French teenager start this weekend, with him most likely to be named on the bench if he is included in the matchday squad. Yoro could make his full United debut when they host Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League next week.
