Premier League table without VAR - where Manchester United, Man City and Leeds United sit

Here are where the Manchester clubs would sit in the Premier League table if VAR wasn’t used this season.

The video assistant referee (VAR) was introduced to Premier League football at the start of last season and was unsurprisingly met with plenty of debate and criticism.

Like most teams, Manchester United are a side that have had a number of decisions go in their favour and also go against them, such as disallowed goals for Cristiano Ronaldo and Raphael Varane, while also being awarded penalties across the campaign.

Goals, penalties and red cards are all subject to VAR, with over 100 incidents leading to an intervention from Stockley Park so far in the Premier League this season.

Using ESPN data, we have looked at how VAR has affected every result in the Premier League this season - and woked out how the table would look without the involvement of the video technology.
