How would the table look if VAR wasn’t a factor in the Premier League this season?

Manchester United have not launched into the start of the season they’d have hoped for, as they find themselves craning their necks slightly to look up at the pack leading the Premier League table. The Reds are currently eighth on 15 points, eight points adrift from leaders Tottenham Hotspur and six behind reigning champions Manchester City.

There is still a long way to go though, and anything can happen between now and the end of the season, especially when it comes to challenging for a spot in the top four.

But the 2023/24 campaign has not been without its controversy, with a lot of finger-pointing at VAR already. Plenty of discussions are being had over offside, penalty and red card decisions, but how would the table be impacted if VAR wasn’t present?
