Manchester United were denied yet again by VAR over the weekend but the Red Devils overcame the set-back to record a 1-0 win at Burnley.
Rasmus Hojlund had a goal ruled out against Brighton earlier this month after the ball rolled out of play before he found the back of the net and at Turf Moor Jonny Evans had his goal chalked off after VAR ruled Hojlund was in an offside position and blocking the view of Burnley goalkeeper James Trafford. However, Evans went on to provide a fine assist for Bruno Fernandes’ match-winning strike.
Meanwhile, Manchester City won 2-0 at home to Nottingham Forest despite playing most of the second half with 10 men after Rodri was sent off for violent conduct. That decision was made on the field with no overturn coming from Stockley Park.
Following the latest involvements from VAR we have looked at how the early table might look without the use of the technology.
