Manchester United fans have shown discontent aplenty with current owners, the Glazers, although they have been appeased somewhat by the arrival of new partial owner Jim Ratcliffe. The Glazers haven't overseen a particularly successful reign since their majority takeover in late May of 2005.

The Glazers enjoyed success through Alex Ferguson's final years in charge, but after that, they have failed to keep the club performing at the very top level.
