Manchester United weren’t able to make it five wins in a row this week, as the Red Devils drew 1-1 against West Ham to bring Michael Carrick’s 100% start to life as United boss to an end. However, they remain fully involved in the race for Champions League football.
Elsewhere, Liverpool got back to winning ways with a 1-0 win against Sunderland, gaining on rivals Chelsea, who dropped points, with a 2-0 lead against Leeds United turning into a 2-2 draw against Daniel Farke’s side.
Manchester City have kept the pressure on rivals Arsenal, as City beat Fulham 3-0 at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday night, with Arsenal playing against a tough Brentford side on Thursday night, which could extend the Gunners’ lead to six points.
