Premier League ‘sack race’: Under-fire Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag hot under collar after poor results - gallery

Erik ten Hag has maintained he feels comfortable in his position but there are few bosses under more pressure than the Red Devils manager in the Premier League.

The pressure is mounting on Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag as results continue to go against the Red Devils. A disappointing 1-0 defeat to Roy Hodgson's Crystal Palace was followed by last night's crushing 3-2 loss to Galatasaray with supporters losing patience.

Off-the-pitch issues continue to plague the club and the takeover saga appears to be affecting performance on the field of play. Speaking after the Champions League loss, Ten Hag maintained that he felt secure in his position.

The manager said: "Last season was brilliant, terrific, more than we could have expected. But also with this project, we knew there would be gaps. In this moment, we are in a very difficult period, as everyone can see. But we come out together, we are fighting together, stick together, we are behind each other.

"And that is me, the directors, the team, all together. We will fight. This is not us. We know we have to do better, and in the togetherness, we will come out."
