Where Man Utd, Man City, Arsenal & Liverpool are predicted to finish in Premier League table - gallery

There’s still plenty on the line in the race for the title, Europe and to avoid relegation.

With just 33 Premier League matches left this season, the next few weeks are expected to be packed full of drama and emotion.

Manchester City have established a healthy gap at the top of the table and lead Arsenal by a point while still having a game in hand. But City’s fixtures aren’t straightforward and they travel to an Everton side on Sunday who are scrapping for their lives, before hosting Chelsea and then travelling to Brighton & Hove Albion and Brentford in the final week of the campaign.

As for the Gunners, they face Brighton, Nottingham Forest and Wolves in their remaining fixtures and will hope that Pep Guardiola’s side drop points in the coming weeks.

The race for the Champions League places is also gripping. Newcastle United are expected to take third spot and have a two-point lead over Manchester United. The Red Devils look set to battle with Liverpool for the fourth and final spot in next season’s Champions League, and Erik ten Hag will be pleased that three of his four final matches are at home.

United host Wolves on Saturday and then travel to Bournemouth next weekend. After that, it’s a home encounter against Chelsea before finishing against Fulham, meaning United’s last matches of the campaign are against sides not fighting for the title, Europe or to avoid the drop.

As for Liverpool, they trail the Red Devils by a point but have played a game more. Jurgen Klopp’s men play Leicester City, Aston Villa and Southampton in their remaining fixtures of the 2022/23 campaign.

There’s also the relegation battle to consider. Southampton looked doomed, but two of Leicester, Everton, Forest and Leeds United are expected to join them in dropping to the Championship.
